We are delighted to announce that thanks to the generosity and participation of many, The Children’s Place is being remodeled!
Since opening fourteen years ago when a garage in Ulaan Baatar, Mongolia was converted into a home for orphans, 151 children have lived in the Children’s Place, 68 have been adopted to both international and Mongolian homes. Even now 26 children make this place their home!
After so many years of children playing and learning, being fed and clothed, being nurtured and taught here, the building was in desperate need of care. Beginning with a new roof this month, we can now proceed to repair walls, floors, ceilings and fixtures. While the children are enjoying time away in a summer home, workmen will be making the repairs necessary for the Children’s Place to continue as a safe and nurturing place for years to come.
Again, our heartfelt thanks to all those participating and those who gave to improve the lives of our Mongolian children.
